Illiana Garden Railway Society Membership Application

The Illiana Garden Railway Society (IGRS) is a not for profit group of G-Scale enthusiasts from the states of Illinois and Indiana.

Society members are interested in all areas of garden and modular large-scale model railroading. Among our goals is the education of the public about garden railroading, railroad modeling and the construction and running of garden railways. To that end, we plan to show our individual garden layouts at various times to the general public and to display our portable module layout at various expositions in Illinois and Indiana to promote G-Scale railroading.

The IGRS was founded on April 14, 2003 through the participation of sixteen charter members, now over thirty. Activities include monthly member meetings, held 7:00pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month; “How to Clinics”; model railroad show attendance: steam train excursions: visits to members railroad garden and an annual picnic in August.

Every Saturday we meet to run trains on the outdoor layout from 10 to 4 durning the months of May through September (weather permitting).

Membership Requirements:
The only requirements for membership in the IGRS is an interest in outdoor model railroading. It is not necessary to have a garden railroad in operation to become a member.

Membership Fee:
Family Membership is $50 per year each December
