The Circus Has Come to Town
It was a chilly June morning in 2006 when the tour bus arrived. The circus roustabouts had just finished setting up the one ring circus tent with the aid of their sturdy Clydesdales for a special showing to the visiting senior citizens group from Ohio. A parade of animals and circus wagons from the circus train to the big-top tent had just begun. The animal trainer was still offloading circus wagons from the flat cars with an elephant and a draft horse team as the visitors began to circle the Society’s railway garden. This was one of the first of many tour groups to visit, while the Bull Moose diorama grew from start-up into its current configuration.
